We started the solid food fun with a little sweet potato action. We're still working on the mechanics! :)

Four months!

Over the past month,we've been pretty busy. Grant worked on two pretty intense projects, Leslie did her two-week annual army training, and Jeane and Matt got married last weekend. Check out suhrfamilyalbum.shutterfly.com to see more of what we've been up to!

Three months!

It's been a while since we've posted, but Danica is already three months old. It seems like just yesterday we brought her home, yet like she's been here all along!

Nap Time

Grandma (Suhr) and Davidson came for a visit the past week while Grant accompanied Greg to Chicago for a headache clinic visit. We got a lot of shopping done, and solved the world's problems over a few awesome coffees and teas. Early next week Greg will come back to Omaha. Needless to say, Danica and Mia are napping to both recover and prepare for the next visit!

Baby Pictures (Sabrina Ahern)

Here's a sampling of the pictures that Sabrina took. She's been photographing lots of recent babies of friends and family, but we're the only girl at this point, so we had a ton of fun. Again, many thanks to both her and Alissa - great friends and great photographers! :)

Baby Pictures (A-Frame Photography)

Our friends Sabrina Ahern and Alissa Dangler came over to take baby pictures. I absolutely love having friends that have a passion for photography - and a willingness to use us as guinea pigs! They showed up with carloads of props and cute ideas for Danica. This post highlights some pictures taken by Alissa. She's with A-Frame Photography - feel free to visit the website for information about her services: http://www.a-framephotography.com/.

Welcome Home, Danica

If you're not on Facebook, you may not be aware that a stork had apparently been hunting down Grant and I. (Thanks to a little help from Megan and Jamie. ) Needless to say, it ended up at our house upon our arrival, along with some pink decor and flamingos. :)

Just to be sure she's acceptable, Mia had to give her approval...

Danica Lynn Suhr!

Turns out we have a stubborn little girl on our hands. The ultrasound indicated she was gaining weight fast and was breached (her head was up when it should have been ready to lead the way out). That meant it was time to schedule a c-section birth. Part of me was disappointed, but by the time our doctor described the potential process of turning a baby that big and still delivering would give us an almost 80% chance of an emergency c-section, scheduling seemed like a great idea. So we set the date for March 2, 2011.

Mom and baby doing well thanks to prayers from friends and family...
and a few low-grade narcotics. :)

And of course the grandparents got their turn.

Finally, a little alone time to catch a snooze with dad.

And we were headed home.
