As many know, my cousin Vonn Dubs has been down here at the Med Center for just over a year and a month for a liver and bone marrow transplant. He and my aunt, Tammie, are heading home to the Sandhills tomorrow! Throughout the last year, Tammie has been such an inspiration to me with her renewed commitment and trust in God. It has been such a trying year, and she continually reassures herself that God has a plan for them. Even though we never know exactly what the plan is (and get a little frustrated at the negative results), trust becomes more and more important. Diligent prayers and the love of friends and family have no doubt helped in Vonn's recovery!She's been posting on a "caringbridge" website daily with updates on Vonn as he was tested, treated, tested, left alone, celebrated his birthday, went to camp, and tested yet again. I've included the link below. They'll be traveling the 450 miles back to Omaha every month for a while for check-ups, but being able to go home is such an encouraging step!
